There is a saying – “Food, shelter and clothing are the bare minimum necessities of life, the rights of every human being.” However, this is incomplete without the mention of education.
Education is the nutrition of the mind; it nourishes and nurtures one’s thoughts and conscience. Apart from making an individual self-dependent, it also helps in proliferating moral and social values in the society.
There is a need to bring the importance of education to the forefront. It is the responsibility of the educated and privileged to provide accessibility to education to the less privileged ones.
A human mind is a treasure trove of capabilities and in order to explore these one must have knowledge and understanding of the surroundings.
Education is the training of the mind to think. An educated individual can harness his/her own capabilities and add more knowledge and value to society.
In the words of Nelson Mandela – “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
